1996 was a big year for Porsche here in the US of A. The 993 series 911 was a huge success compared to the previous model, and Porsche pulled out all the stops with the introduction of the new Twin Turbo model. This new 400 horsepower monster featured many technologies derived from the 959 supercar, with twin turbochargers, all-wheel drive and ABS as standard. The 993 Turbos further distinguished themselves with 18×8″ and 18×10″ hollow spoke technology rims, a full leather interior and a distinctive turbo tail.
The power and traction of the new model gave the car tremendous performance, with 0-60 in under 4 seconds and the quarter mile in under 12. The all-wheel drive and big red brakes, combined with this seamless power, made the car’s handling simply incredible. All of this innovation and power catapulted the 993 to super car status.
We originally sold this 993 Twin Turbo to one of our favorite customers in Texas. But the “car barn’ was getting full and we have been lucky enough to get it back with only 29,000 miles. Following a complete service and a fresh set of Pirelli P Zeros, the car needs nothing. Factory options on this black example include lumbar support left and right, digital sound, CD changer, supple leather, and painted Porsche Crest center caps. The 3M clear bra was added a few years ago. This car is simply excellent.
