The search for air-cooled Porsches has taken us on many a wild goose chase, some good, but most bad. Happily, this 1998 Speed Yellow C2S is firmly in the good category. We unexpectedly found this beauty sitting proudly next to our 1972 911S Targa (both in Mr. Dixon’s garage). A two-owner car, this flawless example is the lowest mileage C2S we have seen in a long time, with only 3,000 original miles.

The Speed Yellow paint is awesome on this wide body, and combined with the factory Aero kit, make for an unusual combination. Other rare options on this C2S include; AM/FM radio with CD player, torque limited slip with ABD, power seat package, motor sound package, 18″ technology wheels, wheels with colored caps, Hi-Fi sound package speakers, Porsche floor mats, Aero Turbo front and rear spoiler, body colored seat stitching, and head restraint with Porsche Crest.

The C2S was only produced for two years, bringing to a conclusion Porsche’s production of air-cooled cars. In many respects, this car represents the end of an evolution for Porsche that traces its origins back to 1948.
