After two years of pain-staking research and restoration work, Road Scholars Restorations shows a very special car for Hans Peter Porsche at the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and wins 1st in Class.

2011 Carmel Concours on the Avenue

The Carmel Concours on the Avenue 2011 was staged Tuesday, August 16th on the downtown streets of Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. This was our first time attending this Concours and it was over the top in every way.
We brought three customer cars for the Concours and all three scored victories! Awards received were:
- 1952 356 Cabriolet: 1st Place
- 1958 356A Speedster: 2nd Place and special award recognition for most likely to generate a magazine article.
- 1960 356B S90: 2nd Place in the Coupe Class.
2011 Dana Point, California
1st Place in Full Concours & People's Choice Award
First Place in Full Concours & Peoples Choice
The 2011 Dana Point Concours was wet affair, but we prevailed against the challenging weather conditions to take First Place in Full Concours and also won the coveted Peoples Choice Award with a 1952 356 Cabriolet (Fashion Grey/Blue).
It was also the debut show for the 1960 Porsche 356B Super 90, which happens to be the very first super 90 to be produced.
2011 Ault Park Concours, Cincinnati, OH
Howard Rapp Trophy winner
The Ault Park Concours is a fantastic event that takes place in Cincinnati Ohio every year. Road Scholars concours prepped two cars for the event, a 959 and Carrera Abarth GTL. The 959 won 1st in class and the Carrera Abarth GTL earned the Howard Rapp Trophy (Best Porsche).
The competition was impressive and diverse. This is a really fun event and beautiful venue for any concours guy.
2011 Porsche Of the Village, Cincinnati, OH
We recently attended the Indoor Concours event at the Porsche Of The Village in Cincinnati, OH. It was a terrific event with incredible food and entertainment. It felt more like a Monterey VIP weekend party than an indoor concours event. The dealership had over 700 customers show up to celebrate the cars and to escape the weather.
Best in Show (People's Choice)
Road Scholars prepared a Carrera Abarth GTL for the event and ended up winning Best of Show (People’s Choice event). This is going to become an annual event and really worth putting on your schedule. We were really impressed with the dealership’s dedication for the marque and plan on attending again next year.
