Gmund Update 026

The Ault Park Concours is a fantastic event that takes place in Cincinnati Ohio every year. Road Scholars concours prepped two cars for the event, a 959 and Carrera Abarth GTL. The 959 won 1st in class and the Carrera Abarth GTL earned the Howard Rapp trophy (Best Porsche). The competition was impressive and diverse.

We recently attended the Indoor Concours event at the Porsche Of The Village in Cincinnati, OH. It was a terrific event with incredible food and entertainment. In September 1959 the workers at the Porsche factory returned from holiday anticipating the start up for the T5 356B. Their first two cars were 1600 Normals but the third was special; it was the first Super 90. Whisked away for testing, # 108921 was then sent to Porsche’s prime Southern California market to one of their biggest dealers, Vasek Pollak.

The East Coast Holiday was the last show for our planned Concours season and we couldn’t have had a better time.
