Variety is truly the spice of life. Kevin attended the Hershey Porsche Swap meet, while I drove my 59 Convertible D (the Pooper) to VIR for the Rolex 250 this weekend. It was a beautiful day at the track and a chance to get up close to the race action.

It was a record attendance and the PCA Corral was jammed full of active participants. All the PCA members having the chance to take four laps around VIR’s full course before the race. VIR is a great venue, mainly because there is no such thing as a VIP. You may find yourself standing next to a international CEO or a world class consumer of beer. There are no Paddock passes and you can walk around the whole track and park yourself where you like on three mile course.

Overall, the VIR experience is a throwback to simpler times and a chance to drive some fantastic back country roads.
